    Milk Carton School Bus

    Materials: half gallon milk carton, small bottle lids, magazine pictures or photos, poster paint, colored paper, glue, markers.

    Directions: Mix some yellow poster paint with a little liquid dish detergent to make the paint stick to the milk carton.

    • Wash the carton thoroughly and dry.

    • Paint the carton. Let dry. Or cover with yellow paper.

    • Draw in the doors and windows.

    • Cut faces of children from magazines or photos. Include a photo of the child.

    • Glue the faces in the windows.

    • Glue on bottle lids for wheels.

    • After dry, gently roll the buses to school.

    That Makes Me Mad Poster

    Materials: shelf paper, magazine/newspaper pictures, glue, markers, scissors.

    Directions: Find and cut out pictures that show things that make us mad.

    • Glue the picture to a long piece of shelf paper or poster paper.

    • Write on the collage what the children say about what makes them mad.

    Variation: Make collages of other emotions.

    Happy/Mad Faces

    Materials: large paper plates, craft sticks, yarn, markers, fabric, glue.

    Directions: Make a happy face on one plate and a mad face on another.

    • Add features with makers.

    • Add hair with yarn.

    • Add Clothes if desired.

    • Glue a craft stick for a handle.

    • Read statements of things that make us mad or happy. Children hold the appropriate face.
